5S Action Plan in Yamato Scientific Co.,Ltd. Minami Alps Factory

Yamato Scientific Co.,Ltd. Minami Alps Factory a subsidiary company of Yamato Scientific Co., Ltd., has been promoting 5S Action Plan since the time of their receipt of ISO 9001 certification.

“5S action” (Seiri, Seiton, Seiketu, Seiso & Shittuke in Japanese, translates in English to Arrangement, Tidying-up, Cleaning, Environmental Awareness -& Behavior) improving consciousness that the next manufacturing process unit(*) is just like customer, eliminating waste of time, and materials, equates to efficiency and improved quality & environment.

The members of 5S committee, are selected by every manufacturing process unit(*), and perform aggressive inspections, of each unit and train staff in the above “5S action” consistent with the 3-elemental doctrine (Work Place, Materials & Phenomenon) in order to satisfy customers which leads to increased quality of output and corporate profitability.

Our drive is to stress to all employees, as well as the overall company organization to attain to the goal of “improvement of work place” and “Activation of work place”. As a result, we are able to provide customers with both reliability and full satisfaction

(*) Manufacturing process unit: Minimum unit in the factory to manufacture. The factory is divided into and consists of such many units. The manufacturing processes are linked with each other in accordance with products.
